As Energy Systems and Planning Program Manager for the Hawaii State Energy Office, Chris Yunker is responsible for the design and implementation of the state’s comprehensive energy ecosystem and energy assurance plans related to Hawaii’s integrated utility grids, pipelines, fuels, and infrastructure. Those responsibilities include overseeing a study on utility business and ownership models, federal grants for advanced visualizations of energy system data and clean transportation implementation plans relating to the Volkswagen Settlement Environmental Mitigation Trust. Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of California – San Diego and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He is a professional engineer (PE) in mechanical engineering and a certified energy manager (CEM) through the association of energy engineers.
