Don Reed is a Director in PwC's Sustainable Business Solutions practice.
Reed has 15 years experience working with senior executives and corporate directors on sustainability and climate change strategies. He helps global financial institutions integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into risk management, credit analysis, new product development, and asset management. He also works with operating companies to create business value through their sustainability and climate change strategies and with investors on how to analyze the financial value of these strategies.
In 2008, PwC acquired Sustainable Finance Ltd. ("SFL") where Reed was a Senior Associate. SFL worked with banks, investment banks and investors to factor climate change considerations into their decisions. Prior to joining Sustainable Finance, he was a Principal at the strategy consultancy Ecos Corporation where he developed sustainability and climate change strategies for several companies including ANZ Bank, Bunge, DuPont, Ford Motor Company, and others. Reed also led the World Resources Institute's corporate engagement program, served as Director of Research at The Carson Group (a capital markets advisory), and co-founded Excelsior Capital Corporation, an investment advisory that raised $200 million from institutional investors for market-rate investments that provided social and environmental benefits.
