She is one of the nation’s authorities on the sustainability profession and publisher of CSO Back Story: How Chief Sustainability Officers Reached the C-Suite to come out later this month. Clients include Levi Strauss, Nestle Waters, and Clorox.

Ellen got her sustainability and CSR start in the early days of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) -- 1996, to be exact. Ellen had recently started business school at Yale. She wanted to find work that bridged her MBA with her previous work building enterprises with coffee farmers and artisans in Cameroon. She jumped on the CSR band wagon that year and has been enjoying the ride ever since.
