George Boué is responsible for all human resources management and logistics activities for Stiles, a leading commercial real estate services and development company in Florida. He is co-chairman of the Stiles Green Committee, which provides strategic guidance for the company’s sustainability initiatives, and has participated on many of the company’s LEED projects, including their existing and future headquarters.
George began his career in the environmental, health and safety (EHS) field, in both consulting and corporate roles. He has held the designation of certified industrial hygienist and was one of the first to attain the indoor air quality sub-specialty credentials.
He led consulting departments at TRC Environmental, ATEC Associates, and Law Engineering (now MACTEC). He had EHS responsibilities for Nortel Networks’ Caribbean and Latin American operations, including manufacturing operations in Brazil and Mexico. At Nortel he worked closely with a world-class human resources team, and became involved in developing social responsibility and business ethics programs, including Nortel’s global code of business conduct.
When Nortel outsourced its manufacturing operations, he was invited to join the HR team and made a career change from his EHS role. He supported various global business units, including a Silicon Valley acquisition, Shasta IP Services. George was also Vice President of Human Resources for MasTec, Inc., an international Miami-based telecommunications and utilities infrastructure development company.
George graduated with an MBA from Vanderbilt University and received a master of science degree in environmental and occupational health from Hunter College. He is a member of the Florida State University College of Business HR Management Board and an expert panel member with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). in addition to being a LEED AP (ID+C), George is also a senior professional in Human Resources.
