Kathy Nieland is the U.S. Sustainable Business Solutions Leader at PwC.
Kathy Nieland leads PwC's Sustainable Business Solutions practice -- a cross-functional group of specialists who help our clients in the areas of sustainability strategy, reporting and assurance, supply chain management, and sustainable finance. Kathy, also the partner-in-charge of the PwC New Orleans practice, has over 20 years of experience serving SEC registrants and multinational companies. She has authored thought leadership on strategies for improved corporate reporting and risk management related to sustainable business issues. She also participates in the PwC task force in the U.S. to address gaps in reporting and assurance standards and to promote insight into strategic issues related to regulation over greenhouse gas emissions.
Kathy's clients have included companies with a focus on energy and related services, as well as in the engineering and construction, manufacturing, metals and piping and retail industries. She has extensive experience in SEC reporting, public offerings, and consulting with clients on complex accounting issues.
Outside the office, Kathy remains actively involved in non-profit organizations and efforts dedicated to rebuilding New Orleans. One of these initiatives is Project New Orleans, in which PwC employees, along with 100 college students from around the country, have helped renovate Warren Easton High School, Louisiana’s oldest public school.
