Marie Steinwachs is director of the Missouri Environmental Assistance Center (EAC), a program of University of Missouri Extension’s Business Development Program in collaboration with the College of Engineering. The EAC is a Missouri pollution prevention center supported by grants from the Environmental Protection Agency.

Marie Steinwachs is director of the Missouri Environmental Assistance Center (EAC), a program of University of Missouri Extension’s Business Development Program in collaboration with the College of Engineering. The EAC is a Missouri pollution prevention center supported by grants from the Environmental Protection Agency. Activities include training and outreach to industry sectors and business counselors, environmental compliance assistance and coordinating a P2 intern program.  The EAC developed the first online engineering elective, Pollution Prevention: Applied Engineering and Sustainable Business Practices, that trains students for internships and careers in sustainability.
