Marisa Meizlish is the director of New Forests Advisory Inc, the advisory arm of a global forestry and eco product investment management firm. She develops strategies for commercialising environmental assets and transacting in environmental markets. Her recent work has focused on investment theses for reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD) in international emissions trading markets and analysing domestic forest carbon opportunities under emerging California and US climate legislation. She directs New Forests' San Francisco-based operations, which focus on new business development, advisory, environmental policy analysis and corporate communications. She holds a Masters of Environmental Management from the University of New South Wales in Sydney.
