Mark C. Coleman co-manages the Clean Energy Incubator at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) working to remove barriers to, and accelerate the development of, clean technology companies.

Mr. Coleman is also a Senior Program Manager for the Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies, also at RIT. Mr. Coleman has held positions in applied research, government, corporate and management consulting organizations focusing on eco-innovation and sustainability. He is currently working on his first book, "The Sustainability Generation: Why Accountability is Essential NOW," from which this article is excerpted.
