Maya Albanese works with companies to sustainably and efficiently source, sell and promote major commodities from tropical climates as part of the sustainable agriculture division at the Rainforest Alliance. She also serves as a brand ambassador for environmental organizations such as 1% for the Planet.

Maya is an active voice for the business of sustainability through social media, blogging and correspondence. She has experience facilitating corporate sustainability programs and international sustainable development projects in a variety of environments, from the headquarters of Williams-Sonoma Inc. to the Manu Biosphere in Peru.

She is an experienced independent traveler who has lived abroad twice and speaks three languages. She also has a background in environmental education, activism and sustainable interior design. Maya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in global socioeconomic studies and French studies.
