Terry Moore is a principal and co-founder of Carbon Shrinks LLC, an Austin consulting firm specializing in carbon reduction and community stakeholder strategies.
Terry brings to his role extensive experience in business software application design and finance, as well as several years of environmental policy work and in-depth study of carbon regulation.
Prior to launching Carbon Shrinks, Terry was executive director of Sustainable Dallas, a nonprofit focused on corporate social and environmental responsibility.
Terry has been the Sierra Club's Central Texas volunteer coordinator for Cool Cities, lobbying local government to adopt policies to address climate change. He currently serves as the Austin Sierra Club conservation chair and is a member of the executive committee.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Terry graduated from Duke University in 1971 to start a career in software. Most of Terry's career has been with software organizations and he brings to Carbon Shrinks the technical skills required for modeling business scenarios, in-depth internet research, and development of a unique database repository of information about world carbon markets.
Terry lived in New Zealand for 32 years and is now a joint citizen of the U.S. and New Zealand with homes in both countries. He wife is a New Zealander and his three daughters are pursuing careers in Auckland, New York City and Bristol.
