Val Haskell is a director at Hitachi Consulting in the environmental sustainability solutions practice, where she is recognized as a leader for sustainability solutions.
Her interest in sustainability spans more than 20 years. Today, her numerous articles about sustainability and corporate social responsibility can be found online and in print. In 2007, she was awarded the American Marshall Memorial Fellowship and traveled to Europe to learn more about transatlantic approaches to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
Prior to being part of Hitachi Consulting's environmental sustainability solutions practice, Val worked in business intelligence and corporate performance management. Her experience with data-driven results has lent itself to a practical approach when it comes to sustainability solutions. Her consulting experience includes assisting pharmaceutical, oil services, natural gas, industrial manufacturing, agribusiness, aerospace and defense, and financial services. She seeks real solutions with real results to sustainability problems that face major corporations.
In her hometown, Dallas, Val is active in her community serving on the city of Dallas' Citizen's Police Review Board and the Davis Street Land Use Committee. She has been a key figure in the redevelopment of an urban neighborhood for the last six years and has employed many sustainable practices in this process. For her, sustainability extends from personal to professional.
