Khosla Ventures and Hawaiian Electric Co. have announced a collaboration on evaluation and deployment of green energy technologies.
As a result of the partnership, the two companies will share information about new products and services in the clean technology sector.
The two companies haven't yet released the names of start-ups they plan on working with.
California-based Khosla Ventures support scientific work in clean technology and offers strategic advice as well as venture assistance and capital to entrepreneurs.
Last month, Hawaiian Electric signed a partnership with Better Place to build an electric car network in Hawaii. The company also recently signed a contract with HR BioPetroleum to build a commercial-scale algae-to-biofuel plant in Maui.
