The British government has gotten into the green business game with its recent Real Help for Businesses Now campaign, which features a top ten list of tips for small businesses trying to cut their carbon footprint.
The list, which was written by Defra and the Department for Energy and Climate Change, admonishes businesses to turn of PCs and lights, fix leaking taps, and reduce office temperatures. While many of these tips are common sense, they make a big difference—a small office can cut heating costs by eight percent if temperatures are lowered only one degree.
The government's recommendations will promoted on the radio, online and in print publications.
