On March 15th, a select group of city officials and thought leaders gathered at VERGE DC to discuss the futures of cities and sustainability. The roundtable was held adjacent to VERGE DC, a three-day event focusing on the convergence of four technologies – energy, information, buildings, and transportation – that is playing out in cities today. However, the emerging importance of cities in sustainability isn’t just about technology. It focuses on how cities work: their infrastructure, their efficiency, the services they offer, and their ability to attract and retain businesses and residents.
The slideshow below presents just a few of the highlights from the Sustainablecities roundtable VERGE DC.
