Dan joined EnergyHub, a clean tech startup in New York City, four years ago as its first employee. To support the creation, production, and deployment of the company's energy saving devices, he has built an agile team whose capabilities range from web software to embedded firmware, mobile applications and customized android platforms. Before joining EnergyHub, Dan led the risk management software team on the Credit Derivatives trading desk at Bear Stearns. Prior to his work in finance, Dan was a founder at MetaCarta, a geographic intelligence solutions provider that was acquired by Nokia in 2010. Earlier in his career, Dan developed web software for Kozmo.com, an Internet company that delivered consumer good to homes in major cities in under an hour. Dan holds a B.S. in Physics from Yale University, where he developed a particle detector for the STAR experiment at Brookhaven National Laboratories for his senior thesis.
