Commission for Environmental Cooperation The Wildlife Habitat Council is an active member of the U.S. National Advisory Committee to the Commission for Environmental Cooperation's (CEC). The CEC is an international organization created by Canada, Mexico and the United States under the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC) and complements the environmental provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). WHC and NSSGA Sign Memorandum of Understanding In recognition of Earth Day, The Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) and the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that strengthens the long-standing partnership between the two organizations. Prairies for Tomorrow Award The Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) and Pheasants Forever (PF) are proud to announce the new Prairies for Tomorrow Award. This award has been created to encourage the completion of corporate wildlife habitat projects, specifically prairie restoration projects. The first award will be presented at WHC 20th Annual Symposium, November 17-18, 2008. Waste Management Announces Environmental Initiative Waste Management, announces an environmental initiative to increase the value of the company’s services to its customers while benefiting the environment, and increase by more than four times the number of facilities – from 24 to 100 – certified by the Wildlife Habitat Council.
