Lovins is President of Natural Capitalism Solutions, a professor of Sustainable Business Management at Bainbridge Graduate Institute, and Chief Insurgent of the Madrone Project. She has consulted for scores of industries and governments worldwide including large and small companies such as the IFC, Royal Dutch Shell, Interface, Clif Bar, and Wal-Mart. She was millennium TIME Magazine Hero of the Planet in 2000, and in 2009 Newsweek Magazine dubbed her a “Green Business Icon.” Her 13 books include the seminal work Natural Capitalism and its 2011 sequel, Climate Capitalism.
