
John Schinter
Schinter is the first appointed Director to lead the group responsible for the operational strategy and execution of programs for energy, carbon, water and waste across the AT&T enterprise. He has 26 years of professional experience in the energy and environmental sustainability industry. Prior to AT&T Schinter was the founding President of the Global Energy and Sustainability Services line of business for Jones Lang LaSalle. He started his career as a mechanical and electrical systems design engineer, working for three of the largest energy utilities in the United States including Exelon, Duke Energy, and Florida Power Corporation. He is a professional engineer, who has served on the US Green Building Council’s LEED technical advisory group on energy and atmosphere, and is a member of the Advisory Board for the College of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He is a Black Belt in Six Sigma, a Certified Energy Manager, and was awarded International Energy Engineer of the Year in 2008 from the Association of Energy Engineers.
