Rohit Aggarwala
Rohit T. “Rit” Aggarwala is Special Advisor to the Chair of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, and Environmental Program Lead at Bloomberg Philanthropies. He was the Director of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability for New York City from 2006 to 2010. In that capacity, he led the development and implementation of Mayor Bloomberg’s long-term plan for New York City, PlaNYC: A Greener, Greater New York.
Aggarwala was a consultant with McKinsey & Company from 2002 to 2006, and started his career in 1994 when he served as Special Assistant to the Deputy Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration. He serves as a trustee of St. Stephen’s School in Rome, Italy; as a member of the board of the Regional Plan Association of New York; and as a member of the strategic advisory council of New World Capital, a New York-based private equity firm that focuses on the green sector.
