Sue Amar

Sue Amar leads global sustainability for salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company leading the shift to the social enterprise. As the Sustainability Officer, Amar develops and directs the company’s global sustainability strategy and initiatives. In collaboration with business leaders and operational teams across the corporation, Amar sets cross-function strategies to increase sustainability companywide. Amar is also responsible for supporting customers as they seek to become the next generation of business, as sustainable social enterprises. In her role, Amar is responsible for overseeing the company’s carbon strategy, reduction goals and operational improvements, as well as sustainability employee engagement. Prior to her current role, Amar was a Senior Technical Analyst where she worked with customers to optimize business processes and application usage. Prior salesforce.com she spent 8 years working in the film business. Amar serves on the board of directors for the Salesforce Women’s Network, and the development committee for GRID Alternatives. She is a member of the GreenBiz Executive Network, and a regular speaker at the Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco where she earned her executive certificate degree in Sustainable Management.
