Roger serves as Associate Dean of the College and Director of the Howard R. Swearer Center for Public Service at Brown University. The Swearer Center works to connect the capacities of the university and community to address inequalities in our society and communities.

Zaid Ashai ’99
Senior Associate at Good Energies
Zaid Ashai joined Good Energies from HarbourVest Partners, a global private equity firm based in Boston, MA. As an associate at HarbourVest, Zaid completed early stage and growth equity investments in the technology sector. He had board level responsibilities on Intertrade Systems, Trellix Networks, Moai Technologies, and Network Engines. Before joining HarbourVest Partners, he was an investment banking analyst in Credit Suisse’s Technology Group.

Jennifer McDonnell ’98
Business Development Manager of Sustainability Services at SGS; former Environmental Coordinator for Whole Foods
Jennifer was recently appointed the Business Development Manager of Sustainability Services for SGS’s Consumer Division in the USA.  At SGS she works with a global team to bring lifecycle analysis, carbon footprinting, and ecodesign solutions to the consumer products industry. 
Jennifer began her professional career in sustainability as the Environmental Coordinator for Whole Foods Market’s Northeast and North Atlantic Regions where she directed the environmental programs of thirty-four retail natural and organic food stores. 

Jennifer Collins ’88
Environmental & Sustainability Consultant at Environmental Resources Management
Jennifer has 20 years of diversified experience as an environmental and sustainability consultant. Jennifer works closely with companies to develop and implement sustainability strategies and programs that deliver business value. In addition, Jennifer’s project work has included the development of corporate sustainability standards and policies; management systems; training, and assurance programs; risk assessment; and the management of large-scale global projects and teams. 

Allison Kohll
Social Compliance Manager at VF Sportswear

Allison Kohll currently serves as the social compliance manager for VF Sportswear, comprised of the Nautica and Kipling USA brands.  Her position has expanded to the areas of sustainability and consumer product safety in the last couple of years. Prior to that position, Kohll worked in the Americas as a third-party social auditor for companies such as Disney, Marks & Spencers, Avon and Shopko, as a consultant for the Fair Labor Association (FLA) and International Labor Organization (ILO), and managed a multi-sector certification program for factories in Chile.
