Salem, MA — JOEGREEN and the City of Salem would like to invite you to an informational seminar addressing the questions and concerns surrounding the Board of Building Regulations and Standards Stretch Code of Massachusetts Thursday, July 29th from 5:30-7:00pm.
As a requirement for the Green Community designation, 35 cities and towns in the Commonwealth have adopted the BBRS Stretch Code which ensures new construction and remodeling projects be built under higher standards of energy efficiency. The seminar will emphasize the important aspects of the BBRS Stretch Code, address practical considerations of implementation, and elaborate on the benefits of adopting the new building standard.
Panel members include Chris Henson, President of JOEGREEN and HERS certified rater, Paul Marquis, Energy and Sustainability Manager of the City of Salem, and Marc Breslow, Ph.D., Director of Transportation & Building Policy for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This seminar is designed for town committees and organizations related to building projects, and sustainability programs and ordinances as well as, project managers, construction managers, owners, engineers, architects, developers, and building inspectors.
