Miami Beach, FL — Volvo Group and WWF are pleased to present the Corporate Climate Summit 2012 at the Volvo Ocean Race in Miami Beach, FL, on Friday, May 18th. This one-day summit is an information exchange and dialogue designed to equip business leaders with new approaches to addressing climate protection. It also promises to be a unique network building opportunity.

The Summit will be held at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. The event will open with perspectives from senior executives, from different industries, led by Volvo Group President and CEO, Olof Persson. In the afternoon, leaders from an array of corporate perspectives will address renewable energy, supply chain GHG reductions, adaptation, communications strategies, and changing organizational culture. The summit will close with a preview of the Destination Gigaton initiative developed by WWF and its partners.

The Volvo Ocean Race is one of the world’s most demanding competitions, pushing sailing crews to the extreme during the nine month race around the world. Volvo Group is a world leader in transportation solutions and committed to sustainability. At the Miami stopover, Volvo Group is hosting the Corporate Climate Summit as a premier side event. The Ocean Race showcases teams’ passion, endurance and energy. We look forward to that same spirit as we look at solving some of the serious climate protection challenges facing companies today.
