Portland, OR — Portland State University is pleased to announce the 6th annual International Conference on Business & Sustainability. This year’s conference will be held November 7-9, 2012 on Portland State campus in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon, USA. This dynamic conference brings together sustainable economy thought leaders and educators, and includes both practitioner and academic forums.

- How are business leaders and social entrepreneurs tackling the world’s most pressing problems?
- Which new models and innovations have the potential to make the biggest social, environmental and ethical impacts and how do we bring them to scale?
A world population of seven billion has new implications for economic development, corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship. Global challenges like energy, climate change, water, health, transportation, housing and food are inspiring new approaches from start-ups to global firms. The 2012 International Conference on Business and Sustainability will explore scalability as a business imperative for a healthy economy, society and planet.
Wednesday, November 7th: The conference begins in the evening with an academic networking and welcoming reception.
Thursday, November 8th features industry speakers in an interactive format, including innovative business leaders in sustainability and social enterprise from national and international organizations, and culminating with field trips to innovative companies.
Friday, November 9th opens with a keynote breakfast, continues with academic paper presentations, functional area-oriented sustainability teaching workshops and speakers at Portland State University, and closes with a social hour reception.
