Green Workplace Offered for Green Startups

Green Spaces offers green businesses a startup office and place connect with likeminded entrepreneurs.

a href="http://www.greenspacesny.com/">Green Spaces, an office for green business entrepreneurs, has opened in downtown Manhattan.

The workspace aims to draw in small, environmentally-focused startups, offering offices from $395-$695 a month with free wireless Internet and a conference room.

Green Spaces will also get the businesses in touch with Green Business Leaders, a network of almost 100 eco-minded individuals in New York, and interns to assist with projects.

"One major challenge of starting a company is getting an office space for just one person," Green Spaces partner Charlie Kickham said in a statement. "The other challenge is having other people to connect with and use as resources. Idea sharing is key."

The idea for Green Spaces was birthed after Jennie Nevin and Marissa Feinberg formed Green Business Leaders, and they and Kickham talked about created a place for green entrepreneurs to meet, discuss ideas and work together.

The formation of Green Spaces was announced at Green Drinks NYC, a social event for green networking.
