PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP's business products have qualified to receive the Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay logo, joining the company's consumer products, which qualified for the logo in April.

All of the carriers in the company's surface transportation network that ship business computers, monitors, servers, workstations, printers and other products are now all compliant with the SmartWay program.

As part of the SmartWay Transport Partners program, HP evaluated its carriers, working with them to meet program requirements and changing or temporarily eliminating non-compliant companies.

The EPA created SmartWay to reduce transportation-related emissions and fuel use. Companies in the SmartWay Transport Partners program measure and agree to improve the performance of their transportation networks.

Earlier this year, HP certified that all its consumer accessories, desktop computers and monitors were being shipped with SmartWay carriers, allowing HP to use the SmartWay logo on product packaging. It can now do the same with its business products.
