The fund, which is leasing the building to the FBI for an undisclosed sum, purchased the nearly 430,000-square-foot, 10-acre property for a reported $170 million in a deal that closed earlier this month.
The build-to-suit structure was developed for the FBI between 2004 and 2006.
The facility attained LEED-Platinum certification for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance in December and became the first FBI regional facility to achieve the designation, the highest in the green building rating assessment system established by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The FBI regional office includes a single-story annex and a three-story parking garage.
The field office is the based for the FBI division that oversees agency operations in 18 Illinois counties.

0.1 FAR?
So much for sustainable site development. 10 acre site and only a 430,000sf building. That's some security perimeter. How can this be a "green building"? How many parking spaces? What is their commute mode split? Is it even served by transit? Sounds like more greenwashing.
