DENVER, CO — During Molson Coors Brewing Company's second annual Water Stewardship Month, employees in three countries participated in volunteer work and the company launched an online tool to help employees conserve water at home.
Last September was Molson's first Water Stewardship Month, when 10 breweries and offices took part in volunteer activities. This year, company locations in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada partnered with non-profits on water protection work.
More than 1,000 employees repaired streambeds, picked up litter, weeded, planted flowers and trimmed trees in parks, along creeks and by rivers.
Molson also launched an employee-only online tool that provides water conservation advice and helps employees track their own water saving efforts at home. Employees are able to compare their progress to employees in other regions and have pledges to save at least 700,000 gallons of water each month.
On the corporate level, Molson plans to improve its global water efficiency by 15 percent by 2012, compared to 2008.

I'd love to see the online
I'd love to see the online tool that they developed for employees to track water use. Is it available to the public?
Molson-Coors has a lot of
Molson-Coors has a lot of great sustainability programs in place, specifically focusing on water. I think it is a shame that a company that is doing so much can't be on the Dow Jones index because they produce alcohol but a company like Haliburton can.
