GreenBiz Group Announces 2011 State of Green Business Forum Cities, Dates

OAKLAND, CA — GreenBiz Group, publisher of GreenBiz.com, has announced that in 2011, the State of Green Business Forum will take place in three cities covering six days.

GreenBiz's flagship annual event, which rallies the world’s foremost innovators, thought leaders, and executives across all industries to discuss sustainable business opportunities and challenges, will expand into two-day events in each of three cities: San Francisco (Feb. 2-3), Chicago (Feb. 9-10), and Washington, D.C. (Feb. 16-17). Each event will bring to life the 2011 State of Green Business report, GreenBiz.com's annual assessment of key green business trends, including the GreenBiz Index, 20 metrics of business progress.

In addition, this year's forums will add a second full day, focusing on practical tools and strategies, taught by leaders in the field. Topics are expected to include engaging employees, effective communications and marketing, understanding standards and certifications, strategies for achieving zero waste, environmental software tools, business metrics that matter, and others.

"The State of Green Business Forums will once again rally the world's foremost innovators, thought leaders, and executives to discuss sustainability opportunities realized and challenges met in 2010," says Eric Faurot, president and chief strategist of GreenBiz Group. "It's an unprecedented opportunity for professionals that make sustainability their business to take a deep dive in the latest tools and techniques to green their own organizations."

GreenBiz Group also has issued a Call for Speakers for the Forums, seeking "compelling speakers and panels focusing on key business trends and issues — emphasizing not only big-picture trends, but also how to implement real-world solutions applicable in today’s challenging business landscape."
