We're well into summer, a time for many people to dial things down a notch. But as we've found in recent years, that's not the case with sustainable business. When it comes to making announcements and commitments, companies don't appear to be waiting until school is back in session. You'll be seeing evidence of that in the coming weeks.
Here at GreenBiz headquarters, we're not dialing down much, either. We've got a full slate of events being planned for the coming weeks and months, so be sure to stay tuned.
For starters, there's VERGE Virtual: Cities 2.0, a half-day online event taking place on July 18. We've got a great line-up of innovators from both cities and business, including the Chief Innovation Officers for both Philadelphia and San Francisco, who will be talking about how they are leveraging technologies, partnerships, and data streams to bring innovative new products and services to constituents -- and how that reduces energy use, carbon emissions, and waste while improving daily life. And, of course, the opportunities all this brings to companies like yours. The event is free; register here.
Our next webcast is this week, on July 12, when we'll look at the top considerations when evaluating, choosing and deploying EHS, carbon and water-tracking software. Join me in conversation with executives from ArcelorMittal, Fujifilm, and Enviance to learn the ins and outs of investing in software. The event is free; register here.
And, of course, there's VERGE @ Greenbuild, November 12 and 13 in San Francisco. We're just about to lift the lid on the first tranche of confirmed speakers, and my colleagues and I couldn't be more excited to do so. Watch this space for more news soon.
