Taking Care of Business
By Joel Makower, Chairman & Executive Editor

This week, I'm extremely pleased to introduce two new members of our editorial team. Both are talented, award-winning journalists who exemplify our commitment to bringing GreenBiz readers the high-caliber news, views, and best practices you have come to expect.

Heading up our editorial team is Managing Editor Liz Enochs, a journalist with two decades of experience, including a dozen years covering business, finance and economics. Liz previously worked at Red Herring magazine, Bloomberg News, Affordable Housing Finance, The Bond Buyer and Mother Jones magazine. Her stories have appeared in, among other places, the New York Times, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Los Angeles Times, Seattle Times and Boston Globe.

Kristine Wong, our new Associate Editor, comes to us from AOL Patch, where she's been covering government and natural resource issues on California's central coast. She has produced stories for television, radio, and online news, and holds a master's degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, another master's, in public health, from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from UC Berkeley.

Two other members of our editorial team deserve recognition and thanks. Matthew Wheeland, who served as managing editor for five years, is now a Senior Editor for GreenBiz while he pursues other projects. Matt led GreenBiz's editorial team during our earliest days and more than anyone shaped our editorial mission.

And then there's Jennifer Kho, who recently served as interim managing editor but now moves over to become GreenBiz's Digital Strategy Editor, helping us develop new editorial products and features. Jenn has been a tremendous force at GreenBiz for the past few months and, along with Liz and Kristine, will help shape our editorial operation going forward.

Suffice to say, it's an exciting time here, and we're looking forward to great things from our terrific team.

The Sustainable Shareholder: That's the title of our newest monthly column, by Michael Kramer, managing partner and director of Social Research at Natural Investments. Each month, he'll provide a look inside the world of socially responsible investing. His premiere column focuses on how pension funds and other SRI types decide to keep or dump a stock.
