The Green IT Perspective

By Matthew Wheeland

It's been a busy week behind the scenes at GreenerComputing.com -- we're just one day away from the launch of our third annual State of Green Business Report, an in-depth look at the data behind environmental business practices. We look at a number of different areas, and this year's report has two that deal specifically with green IT -- one on end-of-life management and one on certified green computer products. Look for it splashed all over the site and GreenBiz.com on Thursday morning.

Speaking of e-waste, a new report out highlights the growth of electronics recycling around the world, and predicts that the market will triple in size, to nearly $15 billion, by 2015.

And since we're speaking of the future, make sure you check out my latest blog post, "IBM Brings Data Center of Tomorrow to the 'World of Tomorrow'". In it, I look at a new exhibit from IBM at Disneyworld's Epcot Center, one that showcases -- and is powered by -- the company's cutting-edge scalable modular data center.
