Another resource for finding responsible businesses
One company has been researching and rating restaurants and other companies in Los Angeles, The San Francisco Bay Area, and New York for a few years. They use very specific criteria for each type of business as they physically scour the streets of each city looking for businesses that comply with their standards. They then compile their findings into a book (Greenopia) each year and keep their website ( www.greenopia.com ) updated with the listings (none of which are paid for). I think more cities are being planned for the near future.
