The Power of Music

I was born after Woodstock, but like many who came after it, am aware of this milestone event.

The 1985 Live Aid concert, which could be considered a 'cousin' of Woodstock, had a profound influence on me as a teenager.

It is important to keep the memory of these events alive, both for their musical worth and as influential cultural touchstones.

Found my photo in your book. Strange, huh?

Imagaine my surprise to find my photo skinny dipping in Max's pond on page 280 in your book.
I was in Barnes Dalton/Borders or somewhere looking through the books with my son telling him about "IT" and my life back then and suddenly I saw me with my friends Artie and Vivian, Steve and Mike, who came up from the East Village on Thursday.
Cool, I went to the 25th anniversary concert in Saurgities with my son and got all sentimental with him.
He went to the North stage, I went to the south stage, but we got together for Dylan, Allman's and melissa Etheridge cover of Janis' set.

I am Going to the 40th Anniversary concert, but it's nothing like Yasgur's farm...Have to rent chairs, got frisbee confiscated, have to buy their water, etc.
