Washington, D.C. — This collaborative program of the Alliance to Save Energy facilitates the design, implementation, and enforcement of energy-efficiency standards and labels for appliances, equipment, and lighting products in developing and transitional countries around the world. Aiming to increase the quality of and competition between energy-efficiency products, CLASP works with in-country agencies and institutions to provide training, consulting, and assessment services to countries establishing standards and labeling programs. The program also provides funding; visit the CLASP Web site for an overview of its programs. Also search the CLASP database for detailed descriptions of standards and labeling programs throughout the world.
