The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy focuses on buildings, appliances, and indoor air quality. Its report "Making Business Sense of Energy Efficiency and Pollution Prevention" presents examples of projects that have successfully combined energy-efficiency and pollution-prevention technologies and strategies to enhance the environment, productivity, and the bottom line. ACEEE program areas include: national, regional, and state energy policy; energy-efficient buildings, appliances, and equipment; and energy-efficient industry and transportation. The council also works collaboratively with businesses and other organizations; publishes reports, including the annual booklet "The Most Energy Efficient Appliances"; organizes conferences and workshops; and informs consumers on home-energy savings and green consumption.
Visit the council's Web site for case studies of companies that have implemented an integrated approach to energy efficiency, pollution prevention, process efficiency, and increased productivity.
