American Council for Renewable Energy
By GWM Admin

Since 2001, this nonprofit membership organization has been working "to bring all forms of renewable energy -- solar, wind, hydro, ocean, biomass, geothermal, and waste energy, and biofuels and hydrogen systems -- into the mainstream of America's economy and lifestyle."

The American Council for Renewable Energy seeks to promote renewable energy by hosting annual conferences and quarterly meetings. ACRE works with its members to develop relationships with the international renewable-energy community through the World Council on Renewable Energy. The organization also publishes reports and conducts public education and outreach campaigns.

Membership fees are scaled for nonprofits and for-profit companies according to total annual revenue. Download an application in PDF format.
