EPS Corp has created a new system for monitoring energy use and emissions throughout a facility that can also break down how much energy is being used for manufacturing a specific product.
The energy and carbon management company's new xChange Point system can provide energy and emissions data related to products, building components, facilities and supply chains.
Aimed at industrial and commercial companies, xChange Point looks at all systems and subsystems at facilities such as refridgeration, heating and compressed air. The data is sent to EPS, where it's turned into a real-time look at energy use and related carbon dioxide emissions. Customers can choose to view information by specific products being manufactured, by facility, by a multiple-facility supply chain or by the entire company.
"As a result, executives have the information they need to inform their customers and shareholders of the specific reductions their companies are making...in both sustainable and financial terms," said EPS CEO and founder Jay Zoellner.
The system is being tested out at more than a dozen facilities in California and slated for a June release.
