San Francisco, CA — Carbonetworks has developed a web-based program to help federal agencies set and manage goals related to greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency, waste and product purchasing.
Carbonetworks, which provides a platform for companies to manage and reduce carbon and energy, now offers its new Federal Sustainability Jumpstart program to federal government agencies.
The program is designed to help compliance with Executive Order 13514, which requires agencies to set greenhouse gas emission reduction targets for 2020, increase energy efficiency, reduce waste, conserve water and purchase environmentally-preferable products and technologies, among other goals.
"Our product offerings have been implemented at 8,000 sites around the world, allowing our customers to manage, report and measure their GHG impacts, and we are prepared to do the same for all federal agencies," Michael Meehan, Carbonetworks' CEO and president, said in a statement. "The Carbonetworks platform and sustainability services can be instrumental in enabling agencies to get up and running in as little as four weeks to meet crucial reporting deadlines and start achieving reductions in a transparent and cost-effective way."
