Boston, MA — The Global Reporting Initiative designed guidelines to help businesses prepare sustainability reports. The guidelines provide a framework for reporting and viewing corporate environmental performance. GRI works with the private sector, nonprofits, universities, and other stakeholders to formulate the guidelines. The guidelines can be viewed online at the organization's Web site.

The GRI has also developed a Tech Partnership, a group of software providers that are working with the GRI to closely align their software and toolsets with the GRI Framework.
