This national U.S. program aims to assist farmers and ranchers in adopting economically viable practices that are environmentally and socially responsible. SARE provides grants for research, education, and demonstration projects. SARE's regional administrative councils recommend projects to be funded; most projects focus on boosting profitability, protecting natural resources, and improving rural life. The Sustainable Agriculture Network publishes information gained from these initiatives.Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program
