This is the final report of an assessment of the market for motor-driven equipment in U.S. industrial facilities, conducted as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Motor Challenge Program. Intended to serve as a blueprint for implementation of the motor-challenge strategy, it provides a profile of the stock value of motor-driven equipment in industrial facilities, lists opportunities to improve energy efficiency in such equipment, and profiles purchasing and maintenance practices.
