Small-business owners who want to implement an environmental management system but don’t know where to begin need look no further than this handy guide. It contains a sample manual that follows the U.S. EPA's Integrated EMS model, complete with all the necessary forms and procedures. The IEMS model differs from the ISO 14001 standard requirements in that it incorporates employee-health concerns as well as environmental impacts. The template is intended as a starting point for managers to use and modify according to their particular needs.
