The Alliance for Environmental Innovation is a project within Environmental Defense that focuses on market-based solutions to corporate environmental challenges. It works with high-profile, leading-brand companies to develop competitive products and strategies that reduce environmental impacts and provide marketplace advantage. AEI partners with a small handful of companies to improve products and to develop the capacity to work with internal and external customers to bring dramatically improved products to market. Results of partnerships are made available to the larger business community. Among those it has worked with are Citigroup, FedEx, and McDonald's.
