The Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center focuses on human interactions in the environment. Population dynamics and distribution have been consistently identified as key elements in considering possible responses to environmental change. The SEDAC Web site offers a plethora of population, land use, emissions, and ozone data. Other data sets list environmental treaties, such as the World Bank's data set containing 125 socioeconomic variables from more than 170 economies and the full text of more than 140 environmental treaties.
