It has been almost two years since Walmart announced a series of sustainability initiatives, including a declaration that it would cut 20 million tonnes in greenhouse gas emissions from the lifecycle and supply chain of its products by 2015. Fred Bedore, Senior Director of Business Strategy and Sustainability, in conversation with Joel Makower, will share the status of these sustainability initiatives, the challenges the company has faced thus far, and where Walmart is headed as it strives to grow profits and reduce its environmental impact.
