Brian Dalgetty

Dalgetty helped to launch the new IBM Industry Solutions Software division at the beginning of 2010, and is currently leading Solutions Strategy and Product Management. In this role Dalgetty is responsible for defining, building, launching new integrated software products and solutions across several domains including; Smarter Physical Infrastructure, Smarter Cities, and Financial Operations. He has more than 20 years of IT experience with a focus on; developing new products, building new brands, launching industry solutions and starting new businesses. He has led product development and solutions management teams responsible for the design of notebooks, desktops, servers, printers and software solution products. Prior to joining the Industry Solutions division Dalgetty was the Director of Solutions Development leading the IBM Sensors Solutions team, concentrating on developing targeted industry solutions using wireless and sensor-based technologies like RFID. The focus of this team was to link the physical world to the digital world by analyzing sensor data to expose new insights that unlock business innovation and deliver process change.
