Pinero works to support sustainability in company operations as well as develop and implement sustainable programs and services for Veolia Water's clients. The company's North American operations serve more than 14 million people in approximately 650 communities. He began his environmental services career working as a geologist with Mobil Oil Corporation in 1980. For most of the past 23 years, while at various consulting firms, he successfully led environmental projects involving both the private and public sector. From 1998 to 2001, he served as both Director of Environmental Sustainability and Pennsylvania Energy Director, serving the Governor of Pennsylvania. From 2003 to 2008, he took his work to the federal level, serving as the White House Federal Environmental Executive where he focused on developing and implementing sustainability policy and practices within the Federal government.

Water & Risk: Challenges Ahead for Organizations
While there are multiple energy substitutions for oil, there is no equivalent to freshwater. The projected population and economic growth over the next three decades will stress this finite resource to its limit, but there are solutions to this imminent crisis. Through collaboration and discussion, participants in this workshop will learn how to use an effective water management strategy to do better business.
