Reiter, FAIA, is an architect, urban designer, and is currently the Senior Vice President at the Arizona State University Foundation and Managing Director of the SOLUTIONS initiative. He is the past President of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the former Dean of the College of Design at Arizona State University, and a long-term faculty member at MIT. Reiter was a key player in the conceptualization and creation of the new Downtown Campus at ASU. He is presently consulting with several American cities about the role of universities in urban settings and recently authored an essay on the cities of Detroit, New Orleans and Phoenix entitled “Urban Optimism.” He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and a member of the executive team of ULI Arizona.
