Sarni has more than 30 years of experience providing sustainability and environmental consulting services to private and public-sector enterprises. He founded DOMANI, a consulting firm that provides innovative business and technical sustainability solutions to companies committed to increasing revenue, mitigating risk and improving operating efficiency. In business for 12 years, DOMANI’s diverse client list includes Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Sarni has worked with many notable clients, including Alcoa, BASF, Cisco Systems, The Coca-Cola Company, Dean Foods, Del Monte, EMC, Estee Lauder Companies, Grosvenor, Invensys, PEPCO Holdings Inc, PepsiCo, Pfizer Inc., Sodexo and the state of New Mexico. Sarni is focused on developing and implementing corporate-wide sustainability strategies, as well as comprehensive climate and water programs. His unique approach fuses the practical with the creative in actualizing high-value sustainability programs and integrating diverse business and technical issues related to resource management. Throughout his career, Sarni has managed a wide range of complex projects throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. In addition, he has provided expert testimony on environmental and ground-water issues. An internationally recognized thought leader on sustainability, Sarni is a frequent speaker for corporations, conferences and universities, and a columnist on sustainability, climate and water for Harvard Business Publishing’s “Leading Green,” Venture magazine, Sustainable Life Media and Earth & Industry. He is the author of the book Greening Brownfields: Remediation Through Sustainable Development (McGraw Hill) (http://tiny.cc/4611v) and contributed to the book Environmental Regulation of Colorado Real Property (Bradford Publishing). He is also the author of the forthcoming book Corporate Water Strategies (Earthscan) which will be published in 2010. Sarni was a member of the Environmental Compliance Committee of the Chicago Climate Exchange and is active in the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) and The Conference Board. He is on the board of directors for CORE (Connected Organizations for a Responsible Economy), and the advisory boards of Speck Design, Adam Capital and BNA Sustainability.
